HABBERLEY Trail, an outdoor adventure park in Kidderminster, has gained some new additions to their array of unique activities. The trail, which is based on the old golf club site in Low Habberley, has acquired new basketball, football, and cricket games. Habberley Trail is also looking forward to the arrival of a very steep slide labelled the ‘death slide’ at the beginning of June.
Roxanne Brown, who moved to Kidderminster from Sussex to manage the business, said: “All of our activities are designed and created in house as our directors are agricultural engineers. “We now have a quick shoot basketball game which counts how many shots you get in the basket, connect4basketball, which is like the game, but you have to get four of the same-coloured basketballs in a line.
The outdoor adventure park opened last month after a long closure due to the Covid lockdown, but has been quieter than expected which Roxanne thinks is due to people being cautious. Roxanne added: “The ethos of the place is getting people away from televisions, moving and using their heads to figure problems out. It is great for families to challenge each other.
“We also have a free membership which gives you exclusive access to events once a month. We are hoping to start these at the end of June or beginning of July for example a steak night in our restaurant.” Habberley Trail also has a cafe which has been furnished using upcycled materials and sells fresh sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and hot and cold drinks.
